I decided to draw more plants. This is the first one close at home.

Memory

A memory of the sea for someone who might never see it again.

Love this shape!

Seaweed again, but this time no recipe, I don't think this one is edible. But it is lovely!

Present

At the Vlaggetjesdag in Scheveningen (a day to celibrate the first New Herring of the year)  I was admiring this sea pock that stood as decoration at one of the stalls and the woman behind the stall said I could keep it ^^ It's lovely!

Tasty invader

This is wakame, a Japanese seaweed that has invaded the Dutch coast. If only all invaders were this tasty!

The Dutch text in between the views is a recepy for wakame salad, yummy ^^

Find the crab king

I drew this on the water side of a lake that is part salt and fresh water ("brak"), so the plants on the shore are normal fresh water plants, but there were mudworms and crabs in the water. While I was drawing this a huge crab came by. It's carapax was covered with seaweed, trailing behind him like a robe. He looked kingly indeed.

The ants that walked over my paper are also included.

Sadly I didn't get to finish it, through lack of time. Oh and the scanner butchered the colours. The yellow is supposed to be more greenish, since the water was really green, more than blue.

Waiting for a train

I was bored waiting for a train, I decided to draw fellow sufferers. I experimented with just looking once or twice and then draw. It saves the trouble of having to explain to people that you're just drawing them to kill time.
As extra challenge I drew with a brush pen right away, without sketching first. I like the result on some of them. :)

Tree in a cup

Conversation  of a few days ago:

Muad: my apple tree is growing well
Me: do you eat the apples?
Muad: in 10 years maybe
Me: ok
Muad: so far it's in a tea cup ^^

I just couldn't resist to draw it (though I had to add a few tiny apples of course ^^)
